La Chaire UNESCO sur la diversité des expressions culturelles et le Centre de recherche en droit public (CRDP), en collaboration avec le Patrimoine Canada, le Ministère de la culture et des communications, la Coalition pour la diversité des expressions culturelles (CDEC), les Amis des médias canadiens et l'Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), organisent un colloque sur la souveraineté culturelle à l’occasion du vingtième anniversaire de la Convention sur la protection et la promotion de la diversité des expressions culturelles de 2005.

Lors de ce colloque, les panélistes seront appelés à discuter des thèmes suivants:

• Souveraineté culturelle et politiques publiques
• Souveraineté numérique et préoccupations culturelles
• Commerce international et exemption culturelle
• Intelligence artificielle, découvrabilité et enjeux de diversité (culturelle, linguistique)
• Souveraineté, culture et droits des peuples autochtones

Cet événement aura lieu du 22 au 24 octobre 2025 au Monastère des Augustines, Québec.

The UNESCO Chair on the Diversity of Cultural Expressions and the Centre for Public Law Research (CRDP), in collaboration with Canadian Heritage, Ministry of Culture and Communications, the Coalition for the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (CDCE), Friends of Canadian Media and the International Organisation of La Francophonie, are organizing a symposium on cultural sovereignty to mark the 20th anniversary of the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.

As part of this symposium, panelists will be invited to explore and reflect on the following key themes:

• Cultural sovereignty and public policy
• Digital sovereignty and cultural concerns
• International trade and the cultural exemption
• Artificial intelligence, discoverability, and cultural and linguistic diversity
• Sovereignty, culture, and the rights of Indigenous Peoples

This event will take place from October 22 to 24, 2025, at the Monastère des Augustines, Québec.
